Bartłomiej Glinka

CAREER
Bartłomiej Glinka is a leader with more than 20 years of experience in the TSL industry. He has been CEO of OMIDA Group since 2010. He transformed the company into one of the fastest growing logistics companies in Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdansk, earning a master’s degree in Maritime Trade, and earned an MBA from the Gdansk School of Banking.

Prior to assuming the role of CEO at OMIDA Group, he worked as a branch manager at Rohlig SUUS Logistics, where he was responsible for the development of sea, air and domestic distribution services. Prior to that, he gained experience as an international freight forwarder at Evergreen Marine Corporation and Fransped. He is co-founder and president of the Columbus Foundation, whose main goal is to educate young people and business leaders. He shares his knowledge and experience with future entrepreneurs.

The Columbus Academy for Personal Development, of which Bartłomiej is the originator, operates in 17 cities, bringing together people interested in personal and professional development. For many years he has also been an active member of the Council of Experts of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdansk, where he teaches workshops on entrepreneurship.

As CEO of OMIDA Group, Bartłomiej Glinka is responsible for the overall strategy of the company, which has gained the status of one of the fastest growing in the transport and logistics sector in Poland. His management philosophy is based on the principle that people are the key to the company’s success, he focuses on the development of his employees, supports leaders by passing on good management practices, and motivates and encourages work life balance. He believes that in a dynamically changing market the only constant is change, therefore looking at global development and adapting to new realities is key.

As part of OMIDA Group, Bartłomiej has received many awards, including the Super Gazelles of Business (2019), the Pomeranian Gryf Gospodarczy Award (2015), Forbes Diamond (2017), TOP Manager of Pomerania (2018) and the Olivia Prize for the Omida Intermodal product.

CSR ACTIVITIES
As part of his CSR activities, Bartłomiej supports young athletes, including pool and table tennis players. He organizes and participates in OMIDA Open tennis tournaments, promoting an active lifestyle among young people. He is also a participant in the Tri-City Sailing League and founder of the OMIDA Yacht Club, which promotes sailing among the local community.
