In this conversation, our CEO Daniel Franke, summarizes the company’s recent actions, discusses the development strategy, and reveals what he considers the most important success factor for OMIDA Group.
You have been involved in the logistics industry for 26 years, working both in the Polish market and abroad for many years. How do you assess the logistics operators’ market today? What changes do you see in the approach to running and managing such a business?
Daniel Franke: The changes we are witnessing in the industry were predicted over a decade ago. Market consolidation has accelerated, affecting both small and global players. At OMIDA Group, we initiated the integration process by merging entities within our Group. The next phase we are implementing focuses on consolidation through the acquisition of external companies. Our target model remains consistently based on three core business pillars, supported by two entities dedicated to back-office and financial processes.

From a long-term perspective, we can also see how the needs of organizations like OMIDA have evolved. In the past, speed and basic infrastructure were the main priorities. Today, technology and data management play an equally significant role. The logistics market is changing dynamically, and our role is not only to respond to these changes but to stay ahead of them. However, one thing remains constant and will always be a key success factor: the entrepreneurial mindset.
What are OMIDA Group’s key objectives for the coming years?
Daniel Franke: Creating value not only for customers but also for employees, shareholders, and partners. We want to develop OMIDA Group as a logistics integrator by delivering comprehensive solutions across all key areas – from road and intermodal transport to sea, air, and rail freight, and contract logistics. Our priority is to scale up our operations while continuously improving the quality and efficiency of our processes.
Modern business, including logistics, requires a broader perspective. What key metrics do you focus on?
Daniel Franke: Of course, we continue to invest in quality, speed, and access to essential indicators that describe profitability trends, handled volumes, and operational efficiency. Additionally, we are placing increasing importance on less tangible elements that, in practice, define our competitiveness, such as our teams’ openness to change. We value customer satisfaction, team stability, talent acquisition and development capabilities, as well as the ability to scale services and integrate new solutions.
Can you give examples of recent initiatives supporting the company’s growth?
Daniel Franke: First and foremost, the expansion of warehouse logistics, which followed the successful acquisition of a large and well-established company in this sector.

Operationally, we are upgrading financial and operational management systems with advanced technological solutions that enhance existing processes. As for the most sensitive aspect of our company – our people – we are redefining and improving bonus systems to encourage collaboration and generate better results across entire teams rather than rewarding only individual achievements.
I strongly feel that we share common values and a vision with our colleagues across OMIDA Group companies. This is an exciting moment that allows us to gain momentum and drive even greater growth.
